The Dali Theatre-Museum, inaugurated in 1974, was built on the site of the old theatre of Figueras. It contains a broad ranging collection of works illustrating the artistic career of Salvador Dali (1904-1989), from his earliest works and his surrealist period up to the creations of the last years of his life.

The county town of Castelló d'Empúries still preserves all the vestiges of a medieval capital. Walking around the mediaeval nucleus and its surroundings is like going on a voyage through history.

This is one of the most important archaeological sites of Spain. The ancient city port, known to the Greeks as Emporion and to the Romans as Emporiae, was the gateway to the Iberian Peninsula for the classical cultures. The vestiges preserved here are a magnificent testimony to this glorious past.

Meeting point of the named denominated Mediterranean Trilogy of wheat, wine and olive, the region of the Alt Empordà, stand out for his wines with denomination from origin Empordà-Costa Brava, and for his traditional made oil. Other distinctive producs of the region are onion, buñuelos, sweet sausage and the ansjovis from Escala. Under other representative dishes stand out "suquet" of fish and the combination "sea and land" typical in the region.

We are situated in a region with a great tradition in the elaboration of wine, already mentioned with the arriving of the Greek civilization at Empúries, 500 b.c. Nowadays the wine production arrives on the market under the nomination "Empordà-Costa Brava" (rose and young red wine, Crianza red wine's and sweet white, the "garnacha") It's even possible to follow a route between the different wine cellars which elaborate these wine's.

Rosas, Cadaqués, Port de la Selva, Figueras…at less then 30 km. from Camping Laguna a whole universe to discover. And if you have more time, a trip to Girona (55 km.), with his Gothic and Jewish districts, or to approach Barcelona (145 km.) to find out all the secrets that this Mediterranean capital has to offer you.

The marina at Ampuriabrava is the residential area of the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries. Genuine in its design and unique in Europe, it has more than 24 km. of navigable canals, making it the ideal place for any lover of the sea and nautical sports. It is equipped with all the facilities and has 5000 mooring sites for vessels up to 26 meters long. Possibility to make nautical excursions. Diving center. Deep sea fishing. Boat rental. In the Aerodrome of Ampuriabrava you can find the parachute center Costa Brava, considerated one of the most important centers of the world. As well it has a pilot school, for little planes as for ultra lights with which they organize excursions over the whole region.

Just a few kilometres from the campsite are two marine nature reserves which are fantastic for diving. To the north is Cap de Creus with a protected marine area stretching between 0.2 and 1.3 miles out. Diving in its clear water gives you the chance to discover completely unspoilt flora and fauna. In Empuriabrava and Roses there are numerous diving centres which run excursions to these spots. To the south is the marine reserve of the Medes islands, which will also delight divers of all levels of ability.

The Golf Club Peralada is one of the most prestige golf clubs in Spain. Situated in a gently sweeping green landscape of 140 ha. it offers a course with 18 holes (Par 71), 9 holes (par 3), a 2 level Driving Range, a putting green and approach area.

The Castle of Peralada, an important artistic-monument whole from the XIV century, has housed in one of his wings the Casino where it is, apart from French and American roulette, black-jack, Boule, Punto-Blanco and Poker, also possible to play with jack-pots.
