When we visit a natural environment, everything we do has an environmental impact. We have to try keep our impact to a minimum, so that our visit goes unnoticed. Following these simple recommendations, we can help keep the environmental balance and its good state:

  • Your visit starts at home. Plan your activities, check the services available and book them if necessary and discover and enjoy the natural and cultural heritage.
  • To better observe the fauna, bring binoculars. You can also rent a pair at the information centre El Cortalet.
  • It´s best to visit the Natural Park with a guide, the experience will be more enriching. The Natural Park doesn´t provide guides, but there are private companies that provide this service.
  • Bring sunscreen and water. Bear in mind that in briny places there´s usually no shade.
  • Don´t forget mosquito repellent all year round. Buy it without picaridin, it´s very toxic for amphibians.
  • Avoid bringing dogs and other pets. In any case, they must be kept on a leash, and they can´t access beaches or some of the routes. Be mindful that it is compulsory to pick up droppings, as their impact on invertebrate fauna is severe.
  • You must comply with the rules of the Natural Park, they exist to maintain the values and make the activities possible. Regulations also affect itineraries and beaches, and it may vary throughout the year.

Pay attention to signposts and ask at the information centre. Furthermore, you can check out this map to get an idea.

Lastly, we invite you to visit the website  Equilibri Natural, where you can know more about the tips to visit Catalonia´s natural spaces.

Many routes have observatories where you can enjoy the wild fauna without disturbing it.

The impact of dogs on the fauna is significant, even if their behaviour is appropriate.
