Empuriabrava is considered to be the biggest residential leisure marina in Europe. It was founded in 1967 and has 24 kilometres of navigable canals. It is primarily inspired by similar projects undertaken in Florida, and in the classic romantic idea of Venice. There are 5,000 moorings, for craft up to 26 metres long, of which 700 are for visitors, and a sports airfield famous internationally for parachuting, including competitions.
It is very easy to get to from the campsite, as it is right next to it. The river Muga separates us. Without any need for the car, it can be reached using the cycle path or, if possible, just along the beach. It offers a wide range of leisure activities for all ages: water sports of all kinds, hire of boats or yachts, boat trips along the canals, fishing, parachuting, light aircraft flights, a wind tunnel, pitch&putt, gyms, wellness, discotheques, bars, shops, a wide variety of restaurants, bowling, big supermarkets and more.
